Black Collective is borne of a personal desire to break a mold. Founded by Giorgios Qure-Lacroix Retsinas with an ethos steeped in labor, Black Collective honors the individual rigors we each endure yet too often overlook the collective importance of. As a writer and designer, he has long considered the efficacy of merging ardency and exhaustion into the myriad mediums which populate his journey. His process is varied across a number of published works and design elements which each apply sourcing materials internationally, whether literal or aesthetic.
The composition found in The Lost Waves is an exercise in prosaic flexibility, often defying compositional structure from stanza to stanza. In similar fashion, his collections of years past combine the sartorial leanings of distant Hellenic eras which find their inaugural mergence only in the designer’s atelier.
